Vintage Fishing Lures
Vintage fishing lures are very popular among collectors who see them as pieces of history and art. The first fishing lures were made at least 4,000 years ago by the Egyptians as well as the Chinese. These are the true antiques! Since the mid 1800's, several companies have manufactured fishing lures that are sought after by collectors. These include the Heddon Company (began 1902), South Bend, Pflueger, Arbogast, Friend-Pardee, and the famed Haskell minnow. Check out the vintage duck decoys page and fish decoys as well. Check out my vintage pocket knives site when you get a chance.
