Vintage Pewabic Pottery
Pewabic Pottery began in 1903 when Mary Chase Stratton started making hand thrown potterty and tiles with a beautiful and unique iridescent glaze. Some of the most sought after pieces of Pewabic Pottery include large vases with unique glazes. In addition to individual pieces, Pewabic is known for its architectural tiles that adorn many homes and buildings in its native Detroit and other places like the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Pewabic still makes pottery today and has been designated a National Historic Landmark. Please visit the antique Rookwood Pottery page and the Roycroft Copper page as well.
